Projekt 1065

Projekt 1065, by Alan Gratz, describes a 13-year-old boy and his parents who are spies. Michael O'Shaughnessy and his parents are spies sent from Ireland to Berlin in the middle of World War Two. Michael wanted to be a really good spy so his parents could trust him. However, when he was on a mission to get a shot down British pilot to a train, he was not able to get to him. So, Michael had a new mission, he had to join the secret assassination squad sent to kill a scientist who could make an atomic bomb that could change the war. His job was to save him. Then, Michael and the special group made it to the Swiss Alps to kill the scientist. Finally, Micheal had taken the scientist on the tram down when they were attacked. Michael fought off his old friend, Fritz, and saved the scientist’s life.

This was a great book. I love World War Two books. This one made you feel like you were there watching the whole thing. The characters were great and the storyline was really thrilling. There was a plot twist I swear after every page I turned. I never knew what was coming next. My favorite character was Michael. He was really brave and courageous easily after climbing on top of a moving tram 8,420 feet in the air. I thought this was a great book and I recommend it for anybody who likes World War 2 books and the Nazis.
