Fig Pudding
Fig Pudding, by Ralph Fletcher, describes the stories of a boy named Cliff and his family. First, at the start of the story, it is Christmas time and Grama is in town. Everyone is trying to figure out what a Yida Yadda is. They finally figure out that a Yida Yadda is a little ladder. Next, Brad was biking and ran into an ambulance. He did end up dying. Finally is the story of why that named the book Fig Pudding. The family made a huge bowl of fig pudding and Josh stepped in it. Everybody loved it.
I really liked this. Even though sometimes I laughed it hit the heart sometimes too. I also loved the structure of the book. I loved how they talked about all the characters and had stories for all of them. To finish it off, I really liked the personalities of the characters. My favorite character was Josh. He was funny and never had a bad attitude. In conclusion, I loved this book and I highly recommend it to all people.
