What Was the Holocaust

 A short informational chapter book, “What Was the Holocaust” by Gail Herman, describes in good detail the pain of the Jews. First I learned that the holocaust means a mass murder. Also, Hitler is a terrible guy. He put Jews in small towns to completely Isolate them from the rest of the world. He also thought that they took up too much space, so he started to murder them one by one. He didn't think that it went fast enough so he made an evil plan to poison them all. Killing thousands in just seconds. Finally, I learned that the people who were against Hitler formed a resistance to fight against him.

I loved this book. It was complex yet at the same time very informational and fun to read. I learned a lot about the Holocaust. I didn’t even know that the holocaust existed. I thought that the pictures told a story themselves. They were real pictures and not drawlings which I liked. However, I wish it was a little bit longer. I loved this book though and I think you will too.
