Who Conducted the Underground Railroad

Who Conducted the Underground Railroad, by Peter and Connie Roop, tells the story of all slaves and their road to freedom. To begin with, black slaves were taken from their families and shipped to America where they were sold to owners. At first, they were not slaves but servants. After five years they turned into slaves. Days into it they realized they would never go back to their family or friends again. So the slaves created something called the underground railroad. People who thought slavery was wrong helped slaves get north.

I loved this book it taught me all about slavery. Now I hate it even more than I did. It told me all about the small details of the underground railroad and all the little codes they used to help slaves get to Canada.
