Pearl Harbor
What Was Pearl Harbor I thought is the best Who Was the book in the series. Pearl Harbor is a tremendous short chapter book that teaches you to remember the people that fought back against Japan instead of those who were killed. To begin with, it was a great day in Pearl Harbor Hawi. The band was playing the national anthem. The opera was singing it. The band stuttered for a moment. Some saw planes in the air. They thought it was just a drill even after they started to fire at them. The band refused to cut the national anthem short. As soon I mean when I say as soon I mean as soon as the anthem was done everyone took cover. Well, for the first 2 minutes then they got out and started to fight back. In the first 15 minutes, 2,464 people died. For over an hour it went on. As you can see the attack on Pearl Harbor was pretty intense. I sure am glad I was not there. Some of the guys were still sleeping! Total, about 3,093 died. Some got in planes and in tanks and fought back. Two planes shot down 14 planes combined! In the end, the Americans took a huge loss but they soon got back at the Japanese.
I think the attack on Pearl Harbor was evil of the Japanese. They bombed our biggest best harbor. For gas. And they didn't even declare war. Or ask us about it. It was all so the beginning of world war two. Both of my great grandpas fought in that war. I think it was a great book. I loved all the action. I thought the author did a great job explaining the details and the facts. The book showed me all the rough times our country went through. Where we have come from. How far we are physically, mentally, and technologically advanced.

Some really good detail Gavin. Make sure that you use an IVF topic sentence. Also, save your thinking for the second paragraph. The first paragraph is just the summary. Keep reading! :)
