Ungifted

Ungifted
is a book that shows that everyone has a side to each story and that people make mistakes. Donovan Curtis (The main character) was walking to school when he tripped and slammed right into the bronze statue at the front of the school. The ball at the top of the statue rolled off and came tumbling straight into the gym. It crashed through the walls and smashed the floor. A few of the basketball players almost got rolled over. Donovan was sent to the principal's office straight away. He didn't even get to explain himself. The principal had to watch Donovan to make sure he didn't get away but a lot of things were happening with the gym he had to leave him for one second and he escaped. That was the start of when it started to get good. You see like I said, Ungifted shows that all people make mistakes, even the top people. An example from the book is Mr. Schultz (the principal) sent Donovan to the scholastic distinction academy for above-grade-level kids. He was looking all over for him. All over the web. All over the school. And all over the town. Not knowing he was at the academy. This also shows that karma is real. Ungifted is a really good book. I am glad I read it. It taught me that everyone should get a second chance.

  1. Nice job Gavin! You have some good detail from the book. You need a second paragraph with your thinking. :)
